We had the pleasure of interviewing Addy (11) and Aubrey (13) in Ohio recently! They have been to 2 out of the 3 markets in the Cincinnati metro and are registered and ready for more!
CEM: Tell me about your business, how did you guys first get started?
“We make flower crafts, from flowerpots, to resin cupholders, and soaps and more. Our grandma got us interested in our business, she also does this and taught us how to do things.”
CEM: What supplies and resources did you need to get going? How did you get ahold of them?
“We thought about things ourselves and get a lot of things online. We get some things from Amazon and also Old Time Pottery.”
CEM: What are some challengers you’ve faced in business, and how did you overcome them?
“One of the challenges we have faced are with our coasters, and there being too many bubbles in them. We searched some videos on YouTube on how to mix the resin and pour properly and then if there are tiny bubbles we can use a torch to heat those bubbles up so they pop.”
CEM: Do you have any advice for other aspiring kid entrepreneurs?
“If you can’t get to where you need to be, just keep trying and don’t give up!”
CEM: How can potential customers get in touch with you?
“We don’t have a way yet; we are hoping to make a Facebook page with our business.”
Thanks for chatting with us at the market, Addy and Aubrey! We’re excited to watch your business grow at the upcoming markets!
