Meet Jasmine and Isaac, owners of The Peanut Gallery, who are bringing freeze dried candies and treats to Colorado!
CEM: Tell us about your business. How did you first get the idea?
PG: We got our idea business when mom bought her freeze dryer and started freeze dried candies at home.
CEM: What supplies and resources did you need to get going? How did you get a hold of them?
PG: For our supplies, we need lots of candy, bags to package our products, a table and our canopy. Our parents helped us shop to get them.
CEM: What are some challenges you’ve faced in business, and how did you overcome them?
PG: It takes a lot of work to bag all of the candy, and once we were at the markets, sales were initially really slow. We overcame these challenges by starting our work way ahead of time and being patient at each market.
CEM: Do you have any advice for other aspiring kid entrepreneurs?
PG: Our advice for other kid entrepreneurs is to make sure you prepare ahead of time, make sure you have products that don’t melt, and, if your market is outside, make sure you have shade, so you don’t get too hot!
CEM: How can potential customers get in touch with you?
PG: Customers can get in touch with us by visiting other markets, and, in the future, we plan to sell some of our products on Etsy.
Thanks for chatting with us, Jasmine and Isaac!
