The kids at the KMKO Cafe were dedicated business owners this Spring!

The kids at the KMKO Cafe were dedicated business owners this Spring! We met Kendrick, 10, Malakhi, 9, Kalliope, 8, and Owen, 7. They attended 3 out of our 4 Southern AZ markets and kept their customers fed with treats and hydrated with delicious drinks. Read what they had to say about running their own business down below!

Tell us about your business. How did you first get the idea?

KMKO Cafe: Facebook! We found this on facebook and we all wanted to get money, so we decided to do this.

Does someone like sodas in your family?

KMKO Cafe: My mom loves Italian cream sodas, we love Italian cream sodas. We also have rice krispie treats, and muddy buddies, and sugar free cookies!

What supplies and resources did you need to get going? How did you get a hold of them?

KMKO Cafe: We got our supplies from Amazon. We needed a table and a tent, whip cream, syrup, rice krispie treats. We needed a lot of stuff.

What are some challenges you’ve faced in business, and how did you overcome them?

KMKO Cafe: Calling people over to our stand, we just moved on and kept on doing it! Also, the rice krispies were hard to clean up. But I got over it and washed the dishes.

Do you have any advice for other aspiring kid entrepreneurs?

KMKO Cafe: Try to get people to come to your booth by saying hi and trying to get people to buy stuff. Have fun making the stuff that people buy!

How can potential customers get in touch with you?

KMKO Cafe: We want to be at all the markets!

Thanks for chatting with us, KMKO Cafe! We look forward to seeing you in the Fall!
